Person Centred Healthcare

As care provision becomes more Person Centred, the role of Personal Health Budgets – PHBs – is set to increase dramatically, as is the introduction of other patient-led support strategies. This one-day course will look in depth at the PHB process and discuss the potential benefits. The course will also look at a range of provision that is already in place to support individuals in maintaining person-centred self-care. At the end of the day, students will have a good understanding of a range of resources, which will make them more effective in supporting others to have control over their healthcare.

One Day On One-Page Profiles!

Care Certificate @ Aquila Network Meeting

The Care Certificate was the focus of the second session today.  Lindsey (Skillsforcare) and Karen from SIRONA took us through some of the requirements of the certificate.  Karen had been part of a trial group that helped implement the certificate which came out of the recommendations of the Frances Report.  Her insight into how to implement the certificate in a real practice situation was very useful and facilitated a health discussion amongst the network members.
